The opines of an opinionated author
SyWipe began as an experiment during the Covid outbreak in 2020. Whilst completing a degree in English language I became fascinated with the way in which we use words as an exchange of power and persuasion and how politicians were using against the general public. I wanted a way in which I could counter this.
SyWipe was to be my little window to the world, a place where I could use words to express my opinion and display evidenced based factual commentary. It quickly turned into social commentary, then movie reviews, book reviews and eventually a place to showcase my own work.
I recently decided to update the site after six years of stagnation in an effort to force myself into a routine to write. It’s 2026 and I’m about to complete my Masters degree and I have a book to complete. I look forward to welcoming you on my journey.
